Hi, I'm Niloo.

IMG_0102.JPG

I am a versatile senior product designer & Creative Strategist with over 5 years of experience and a deep passion for understanding how technology impacts people’s behavior and influences their habits.

I believe nowadays Product Designers should think beyond the basic level of usability issues by having a strategic mindset and understanding growth in business whilst they are still the voice of users.

Getting STARTED is a higher priority for me than being right. I'm a big fan of the Design Sprint - and make things happen mentality. My background in sociology helps me to put myself in the user's shoes, create an empathic design, and be a good storyteller. I develop concepts and design for customers' needs without losing sight of business goals.

Workshop

Attending and facilitating workshops are the most fun part of my job.

DESIGN

Have you ever asked yourself what design in the digital world really means?

Storytelling

Having a good product and a good pitch is not just enough anymore.

Consulting

If you ask me where do you see yourself in 10 years, I would say...

How do I work?

Projects

Due to NDA restrictions and my contracts with  clients and companies, I don't have the liberty to reveal the name of some of the clients and showcase most of my works. However, here are some nuggets I can still share with you.

User Research

As a Product and UX Designer, I’m the voice of users. Every time I’m working on a new project I have to ask myself

‘’How Can we understand our customers so well to anticipate what they need?’’

And the answer is extensive user research and defining who our customers are and what are their goals and wishes?

Designing a smooth checkout process for a travel booking portal with big baskets.

Checkout is a very sensitive part of the customer funnel and touch-point. Hence, gaining trust from the customer is a crucial step to success and retention rate.

A Fancy Feast

Gegessen Wird Immer is an e-commerce product and an online shop for special and selected food products based in Berlin. Although the app has been lived since 2015, the new UX/UI design has not been developed yet. Since the client already made the decisions regarding most of the visual design's aspects such as the logo and fonts choice beforehand, my main focus on this project was mostly to improve their product with the UX approach and remove the usability pain points.

Messen.at is an Austrian partner domain of Messen.de which focuses on trade fairs in Germany.

NoteBook

NoteBook is the first project that I’ve done. The product is a task management app for teachers at IB schools. NoteBook is a tablet first app. Since the client doesn’t agree to reveal the name of the company, I had to change the name of the product for my portfolio.

NoteBook is an Ed-Tech solution to help teachers implement their curriculum planning and enable them to concentrate on quality; why they should utilize… rather than what they should utilize?

The idea was to resolve some of the main problems of IB-Schools’ system for teachers and later for other schools.
